China Policy/Asia Society 'China executive briefings'

China’s tech ambition and the hydrogen bet

open to autarky: China’s coming 5-year plan

China Policy and Asia Society Australia have joined forces to bring ‘China executive briefings’, a mix of briefing papers and events, to a wide audience.

Unencumbered by the event-driven news cycle, the series opens a window for business, governments, media groups and scholars on the China Policy evidence-based approach that explores the fine grain of Beijing’s policy trajectory.

In case you missed the briefs so far, we link above to the latest one on scitech policy, and particularly China’s hydrogen bet, and to the earlier one looking forward at what to expect during the 5-year plan. Head to our new portal at Asia Society Australia to watch May’s scitech panel discussion ‘Tech Cooperation or Decoupling?’.

Next up, in September, will be a focus on trade, not least burgeoning e-commerce models, followed by an examination of energy policy in November, ahead of the UN Climate Change Conference (COP 26) in Glasgow. Watch out for our upcoming live events (15:00hrs Sydney time).
